Orange County Water Filtration & Softening
Finally Feel Confident About Every Drop From Your Tap
Better-tasting, softer, cleaner water throughout your home, and complete peace of mind. Whole-home systems built for Southern California water.
Your Water Can Meet City Standards and Still Be Hard on Your Home
Municipal water is treated for safety, but that doesn't mean it's free from hardness, chlorine taste, or dissolved solids. The right system fixes that.
Reduce Scale Buildup
Hard water minerals build up inside water heaters and pipes over time. The USGS reports this shortens equipment life and raises energy costs.
Fewer Spots and Less Soap Scum
Hard water leaves spots on faucets, dishes, and glassware. It also reacts with soap, creating scum and wasting detergent.
Better-Tasting and Better-Smelling Water
Carbon filtration reduces chlorine taste and odor throughout your home. NSF/ANSI 42 is the standard used to verify these claims.
Cleaner Drinking Water at the Kitchen Sink
Certified reverse-osmosis systems reduce dissolved solids and specific contaminants. NSF/ANSI 58 is the standard for verifying these claims.
Know What Your Home Actually Needs

Every home is different, so we lead with a few core systems and tailor the details from there.
Every Tranquil system uses NSF-certified filtration media, softening resin, and carbon, so what's inside your walls meets the same standards used to test performance and material safety industry-wide.
Complete Home System Package
Our complete system treats every drop from the moment it enters your home, combining sediment removal, water softening, and chlorine and chemical filtration in one setup, then finishes with dedicated drinking water filtration at the kitchen faucet.
- Removes sediment, chlorine, and hard-water minerals in one system
- Softer skin, hair, and laundry throughout the house
- Cleaner, better-tasting water straight from every tap
- Appliances and plumbing protected from scale buildup
Water Softener with Chlorine Filtration
This two-tank system pairs a water softener with chlorine filtration to tackle Orange County's two biggest water problems at once, hardness and chemical taste, without a full drinking water setup.
- Reduces hardness that dries out skin and hair
- Filters chlorine taste and odor from every tap
- Protects appliances and plumbing from scale damage
- A lower-cost entry point into whole-home treatment
HW800 AlkaPro Drinking Water System
A compact, tankless reverse osmosis system installed under the kitchen sink, the HW800 AlkaPro removes a wide range of contaminants and delivers noticeably better-tasting water on demand.
- Tankless design saves under-sink space
- Removes contaminants standard filters miss
- Noticeably better taste, from its own dedicated faucet
- On-demand delivery, no waiting to refill a tank
Pre-Sediment Filter
Installed ahead of your main system, the pre-sediment filter catches dirt, sand, rust, and other sediment before it can reach your home's plumbing or filtration equipment.
- Protects downstream filtration and softening equipment
- Keeps sediment out of your home's plumbing
- Helps maintain strong, consistent water flow
- A simple add-on that extends system lifespan

Common Questions About Water Treatment
Plain-language answers to what homeowners ask us most.
What does a whole-home filtration system actually do?
It treats water where it enters your house, so every fixture benefits: showers, laundry, the works. Typically that means carbon filtration for chlorine and odor, plus a softener for the calcium and magnesium that make Orange County water so hard. You're changing what comes out of every tap, not just adding a filter pitcher to your fridge.
How does reverse osmosis work?
Reverse osmosis pushes water through a fine membrane that catches dissolved solids and chemicals carbon filtration alone can't remove. It's installed under the kitchen sink with a few filtration stages, feeding its own dedicated faucet. The result is drinking water that's noticeably cleaner and better-tasting.
How often do filters need to be replaced?
It depends on the system, but most whole-home carbon filters last one to three years, and reverse osmosis stages are swapped every six to twelve months. We'll walk you through your schedule at installation, and can handle replacements so it's one less thing on your list.
Why should I filter water that's already considered "safe"?
Water meeting safety standards and water that's pleasant to drink, cook with, and shower in are two different things. "Safe" doesn't account for chlorine taste, hard-water buildup, or dryness. Filtration and softening address what a compliance report doesn't: how your water actually feels and tastes in your home.
What does a Tranquil system actually remove?
Our whole-home systems target chlorine, sediment, and the minerals that cause hard water. Reverse osmosis goes further, reducing a broader range of dissolved solids for your drinking water specifically. Because every home is different, we test yours first, so you know exactly what you're treating for.
Will this affect my water pressure?
Done right, no. Our systems are sized to your home's plumbing and water demand, so pressure stays strong at every fixture, even with multiple bathrooms running. It's a main reason we test and measure before recommending a system instead of a one-size-fits-all tank.
